Trapani is a city on the western coast of Sicily. It is a fishing port and the gateway to the Egadi Islands. The city has seen an increase in tourism recently thanks to Ryan Airways and other low-cost carriers which bring tourists from London, Paris, Sweden and other European cities. Many cruise ships now dock at Trapani port.
It is also famous for its coral works, many of which are found in the Pepoli Museum. The salt mines are another attraction of Trapani, as is Monte Erice, which can be seen below.
Another view of Monte Erice and the Mediterranean sea on a windy day (practically every day it's windy in Trapani.) I had to hold my hat otherwise it would have flown away.
This is the famous Fontana del Tritone in the center of Trapani.
Here is the Salita di San Domenico, a characteristic narrow street.
